Tropical Fruit Salad with Lime and Mint



This South American tropical fruit salad recipe is a traditional dessert made with papaya, pineapple, banana and orange juice.

* Ingredients :

* For the pineapple:
☞ 1 pineapple
☞ 1 red apple
☞ 2 kiwis
☞ lemon juice
☞ sugar


* For the grape fruit:
☞ 1 grapefruit
☞ 150 g strawberries
☞ sugar

* Instructions :

1 – For the pineapple:

Cut the pineapple in half lengthwise, starting with the leaves. Remove the fibrous heart. Incise the flesh, starting from the sides, then pass the knife under the flesh, taking care not to pierce the bark. Gently press the empty shell to collect the juice.
In the shell, place a few strips of apples, kiwis and pineapple. Drizzle with lemon juice. Sprinkle with sugar.

2 – For the grapefruit:

Cut the grapefruit in 2. Take the flesh with a grapefruit spoon (or a knife). Scrape the grapefruit half-shells to remove the membranes (small white skins).
In the grapefruit shells, place pieces of strawberries and the pieces of grapefruit. You can add a mint leaf. Sweeten a little.
